Steven T. Kuykendall
Over the past 35 years Mr. Kuykendall has served in both the private and public sectors, including a term as a member of the United States House of Representative and two terms as a member of the California State Assembly.
Mr. Kuykendall's environmental expertise focuses on water and land use issues and on how public policy affects energy use. Much of this work involves land use decisions, where Mr. Kuykendall works to find solutions that are environmentally responsible while fostering economic growth.
From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Kuykendall served in the U.S. House of Representatives where he was a member of the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and of the Armed Services Committee. On the former he was a member of the Subcommittees on Aviation and on Water Resources and Environment. On the Armed Services Committee he was Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee on Maritime issues. He was a member of the California State Assembly from 1994 through 1998 when he served as Chairman of the Select Committee on California Ports, Vice Chairman of the Labor and Employment Committee and as a member of the Utilities and Commerce Committee.
Mr. Kuykendall has a BS degree in Economics from Oklahoma City University and a MBA from San Diego State University. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 � 1973.
